A new compilation album featuring the trio plus special guests
Over the years, and on different albums, Trio West has featured a variety of top-shelf New York City jazz musicians.
This new compilation title speaks for itself. All of the songs on this album feature either two or three horn line-ups featuring bad-ass players such as Ron Blake, Bobby Watson, Joe Magnarelli, Joel Frahm, Stacy Dillard and Mark Gross.
“Don’t miss this one! Some music therapy is in order and this band provides it”.
"the new CD by drummer Tobias Gebb's Trio West is a joy, full of catchy tunes given imaginative treatments by players at the very top of thier games" Hot House
"In short, An Upper Westside Story by Tobias Gebb and Trio West stands up powerfully next to any piano trio recording around" - Jazz Improv Magazine
"Tobias Gebb (drummer, composer, arranger) has a knack for stimulating the progression of through-composed pieces with his arrangements. The trio as a collective gives a tune subtle shapes and dimensions.."
